Women Artists

This issue features painters, writers, performers, photographers, designers, rappers —well let’s say the word “artists”—to share their individual fashion sense with the rest of us. Fashion often suffers from some kind of caricature. What is “fashion sense” anyway? People sometimes think it’s only about a way to wear clothes. The cool way. The best way that everyone will want to follow.
The artists in this issue prove the contrary. They engage themselves beyond just dressing up—in the way they live their lives and do their work, they show us the true definition of “fashion sense”. That fashion is also about poetry, humour, and pop rock. Finally it’s about not wanting to follow anything or anyone, but to be carried where our own desires take us. That’s something that requires bravery and confidence, but also a bit of fun.
You could say those are the characteristics you need to be an artist, or you could say it’s what you need to be a woman today.
