The Art Education issue questions the possibilities of creating a humanistic, well-rounded education in today’s world. Is it even possible? To answer the question we delve into a range of inspiring artists, pedagogues, and thinkers who share through, conversations and essays, their experiences and expertise on the question. What we found is a contested field of engagement that does not depend on an institution or the market to survive. This simple idea is enough for us to continue to bring knowledge, hope, and joy around us!
