Laborde studied at Beaux-arts de Paris. In 2017 with his partner the editor Alice Dusapin they founded the cooperative project Ampersand in Lisbon, Portugal. Ran as an exhibitions program by artists, it also works as a cultural space with editorial presentations and film screenings.
