About

DoPe Press—founded in 2008 by editor and creative director Dorothée Perret—is an independent press for artists, providing a forum for open investigation and discourse. Associate editor Barlo Perry joined the press ten years ago, and our publishing project includes art books, exhibition catalogs, fine art editions, and the magazine PARIS LA—a print and online periodical of revolving themes committed to free interpretations of the arts.

DoPe Press publishes the works and words of international artists, essayists, poets, designers, and curators, advocating for those voices that move the culture forward.

By building bridges between communities, DoPe Press is committed in its role as publisher to creating space for peripheral voices, thereby expanding the boundaries of imagination and possibility in our shared cultural landscape.

The DoPe Press catalog is available worldwide in selected bookstores, newsstands, and museum libraries. Our main distribution partners are Les presses du réel, Paris; Idea Books, Amsterdam; and Buchhandlung Walther König, Cologne.

DoPe Press is a Woman-Owned Business  whose clients include the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles / Regen Projects, Los Angeles / Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University / Musées d’art et d’histoire, Geneva / Walther König, Cologne / Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Zurich.
